Common questions
How many check-in slips print on one page?
Four. The PDF prints a 2×2 grid on standard US Letter paper with dashed cut lines, so one page makes a set for a small group or you can print multiple pages for a full class.
Is this really free, no email or sign-up?
Yes. The download button above opens the PDF directly — no email capture, no account, no watermark. Print as many as you need, every week, at no cost.
What are the three reflection questions on the slip?
What I learned this week, something I still have a question about, and what would help me most right now — plus a simple Great / OK / Stressed / Stuck mood circle. Together they take most students under two minutes to complete.
What grade levels work with this check-in slip?
Grades 4 through 12 as a written slip. For K–3, the same three questions work better as a verbal circle-time routine or a thumbs-up/thumbs-sideways/thumbs-down check, since younger students are still building writing fluency.
